 1. Our bodies: Students can name the sense organs and five senses.

  • Our sense organs: Ears - Eyes - Nose - Tongue - Hands
    => Practice: This is my nose/ These are my hands

2. Caring for our bodies: Students can name the basic needs of our bodies.

    => Practice: It's good to eat healthy food; It's bad to eat fast food

  • Eating right: Have 3 meals a day; eat fruits; eat vegetables; eat meat and fish
    => Practice: Having 3 meals a day helps me move and play; Eating fruits helps me stay healthy; Eating vegetables helps me stay healthy; Eating meat and fish helps me grow strongly.

3. Plants: Students can name parts of a plant/ say uses of a plant/ name plant parts as food

  • Parts of a plant: roots; stem; leaf; flower; fruit; seed
    => Practice: What's it? It's a flower.

  • Uses of a plant: food; drink; wood; shade
    => Practice: Plants give us wood

  • Plant parts as food: root/carrot; stem/ sugar cane; leaf/lettuce; flower/cauliflower; fruit/tomato; seed/rice
    => Practice: carrot => We can eat plant roots/ We can eat plant roots like carrots

4. Animals: Students can find where animals live; say how animals move; find what animals eat

  • Where animals live: hive/bees; burrow/rabbits; nest/ birds; cave/ bats
    => Practice: Where do bees live? => Bees live in a hive

  • How animals move: hop/rabbit; climb/panda; fly/bird; swim/ fish
    => Practice: A rabbit can hop

  • What animals eat: meat eater; plant eater; plant and meat eater
    => Practice: Cows are plant eaters.

5. Earth and sky: Students can find and name forms of land; find and name different directions; find and name directions of the Sun

  • Forms of land: Mountain; Valley; Hill; Plain
    Idea: Show video thực tế, như 1 chuyến du lịch bằng khinh khí cầu từ trên cao và quan sát các dạng địa hình.
    => Practice: Where is your house? => The house is on the plain

  • Directions: Left; Right; In front of; Behind
    => Practice: My arm is pointing to the left; I am standing in front of the tree.

  • The Sun and directions of the Sun: South; West; North; East
    Idea: - Đặt hoàn cảnh, 1 bạn vào rừng và bị lạc đường, bạn phải tìm đường về nhà bằng cách xác định phương hướng. 
    - GV đóng vai mặt trời và di chuyển, cả lớp sẽ định vị và đọc to hướng (Stand straight and stretch out your arms. Point your right arm to the morning sun. Your right arm is towards east. Your left arm is towards west. In front of you is north. Behind you is south.)
    => Practice: What's direction? => It's south

6. Weather and seasons: Students can name types of weather in different places; name types of weather in different seasons; can name activities in different seasons.
